The first 99 HIITBOX Standing 8 Punch & Burpee Challenge will take place at Maroubra Beach with the Maroubra 400 Club at 5:15 am on Friday the 21st of November, we will look to Run Standing Challenges over the Next 8 Weeks ending at 8m January 21st 2026.
My name is Nat Wood, and I’m a former NRL player who now lives with the long-term effects of CTE and brain trauma from my playing career.
I created 99 HIITBOX and our Standing 8 Punch & Burpee Challenge as a way to turn my experience into something positive — a platform to raise awareness, start conversations, and support the incredible work being done in Australia to understand and treat brain injury.
We’re honoured to have been granted permission to fundraise for the Sydney Brain Bank at NeuRA Australia, whose research is critical for players, families, and anyone affected by CTE, concussion-related decline, or traumatic brain injury.
Our purpose is simple:
Raise funds.
Raise awareness.
And support the research that might one day save someone else from the same struggles.
Every donation — big or small — helps drive urgently needed research into CTE, brain trauma, neurodegeneration, and mental health.
